CONTEXT

Why Use This Tool

Anyone who has manually translated a long document knows the story: copy a paragraph, paste it into a translator, copy the result, try to fit it back into a formatted document. Hours of tedious work on a single file.

This tool does all that in minutes. Upload a file, pick a language, get back the full translation with its headings, paragraphs and lists in place. Even when the document is in Hebrew, the direction stays correct automatically.

Especially useful for translating a legal contract before signing, an academic paper for school, a medical document, a business presentation, or an official letter from a government office.

HOW IT WORKS

How to Translate a PDF

Drag your PDF file into the upload area or click to choose one from your computer. The tool auto-detects the source language, so no need to specify it.

Pick the target language - Hebrew, English, Russian, Arabic, French, or any of the 100 other supported languages. Click "Translate now" and wait anywhere from a few seconds to a couple of minutes, depending on file size.

When it is done you get the translated text right on screen. Copy it to anywhere with one click, or download it as a formatted PDF or as a Word file for editing.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

What kinds of documents can I translate?

Any PDF file: legal contracts and agreements, academic papers, medical documents, business presentations, books, instruction manuals, immigration paperwork, certificates, letters, and official documents. The tool preserves the structure - headings stay headings, paragraphs stay paragraphs.

Which languages are supported?

Over 100 languages. Most popular for Israeli users: Hebrew, English, Russian, Arabic, French, Spanish. Also supports German, Italian, Ukrainian, Romanian, Greek, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese and many more. Any direction - to Hebrew, from Hebrew, or between two foreign languages.

Does the translation keep the original formatting?

Yes. Headings stay bold, paragraphs are split correctly, lists look like lists, and tables stay as tables. When translating to Hebrew or Arabic, the text automatically arranges in the correct right-to-left direction.

What is the difference between the PDF and Word downloads?

The PDF is for viewing and sharing - it looks closest to the original. The Word file is for editing - if you want to fix wording, add notes, or change something in the translation, open it in Word and edit normally.

Is there a limit on the free plan?

On the free plan you can translate files up to 50 pages. Pro subscribers get up to 300 pages per file, faster processing, and no ads.

Can I translate a scanned PDF (not digital)?

Yes. The tool auto-detects scanned documents and reads the text inside before translating. For the best quality on a scanned document, we recommend first running our "Make PDF Searchable" tool.

What about document privacy?

Your file is stored only during translation and deleted within 30 minutes. Text is sent to the translation engine over a secure channel, and there it is not used for training or any other purpose. Your document stays yours.

How long does a translation take?

Depends on the file size. A one-to-two page document: 5-15 seconds. A 20-30 page document: one to two minutes. A 50-page book: 3-5 minutes. You can stay on the page or come back later.

Can I just copy the translated text without downloading a file?

Of course. When the translation is done there is a "Copy" button that copies the entire translated text to your clipboard. You can paste it into Word, Gmail, WhatsApp, or anywhere else.
