CAPABILITIES

Key Features

  • Full formatting preservation. Cell background colors, borders, fonts, merged cells, alignment, and gridlines preserved exactly like the original
  • Auto-fit to page. The tool adjusts the sheet to A4 pages - wide sheets split, you can also choose "Fit to page" to compress to one page
  • All sheets in one file. If multiple sheets exist in the file, all go into one PDF one after another, with sheet names as headers
  • Hide formulas. The final file shows only the calculated results. The formulas you created are not exposed to the recipient - protecting intellectual property
  • Perfect Hebrew. Hebrew sheets preserved with correct right alignment, dates in Hebrew format, and numbers staying numbers
CONTEXT

Why Convert Excel to PDF?

In daily work there are many cases where you need to send an Excel sheet to someone else - but sending as a regular Excel file is sometimes problematic. The other side may open the file in an old version that does not support all the features you used. They may accidentally (or intentionally) change values in the file. They may see internal formulas you did not want to expose. PDF solves all this: the file looks identical everywhere, does not change, and does not expose the "behind the scenes".

Common examples: price quotes to clients (they see prices but cannot edit), monthly reports to management (looks formal and organized), price catalogs to agents (uniform for everyone), salary tables to employees (high privacy), budget reports for submission to funding institutions. In all these PDF is the accepted and safe format.

An important advantage is compatibility. Not every person has Microsoft Excel - macOS does not include it by default, many use Google Sheets which does not always display Excel files correctly, and some people have no spreadsheet software at all. But everyone has a browser or PDF app - so the final file opens smoothly for any person.

HOW IT WORKS

How Does Excel to PDF Conversion Work?

Sending a price quote from Excel to a client and want to ensure they cannot change the prices? Submitting a quarterly report to management and want it to look professional even for those without updated Excel? Sending a price list containing all the formulas you calculated and want to share only the results without exposing how you got them? Converting Excel to PDF "freezes" the spreadsheet - the recipient sees the data exactly as you designed it, with no ability to change prices, formulas, or layout.

The process is simple: upload an Excel file (XLSX, XLS, or CSV), click "Convert to PDF" and within seconds you get a PDF to download. The tool auto-detects sheet size and adjusts to A4 pages. Narrow sheets get one page, wide sheets split across several pages. If you want to compress everything to one page you can choose "Fit to page".

The tool preserves all original formatting: cell background colors, borders, merged cells, fonts, text sizes, and alignment. If you defined print areas in the Excel file - they are preserved. If you added headers and footers - they go into the PDF. If the file has multiple sheets, each is converted to a page or more, one after another.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert Excel to PDF?

Upload your Excel file (XLSX, XLS, or CSV), click "Convert to PDF" and download the PDF. The tool preserves formatting, colors, merged cells, and gridlines - without installing software.

Does conversion preserve Excel formulas?

PDF cannot store formulas - only their results. The final file shows the calculated values as regular numbers, without the formulas. This is actually an advantage when sharing data without exposing the business logic behind.

How does the tool handle large spreadsheets?

The tool auto-detects sheet size and adjusts presentation to A4 pages. Wide sheets are automatically split across pages, and you can choose "Fit to page" to reduce display so everything fits on one page.

What happens with multiple sheets in the file?

If your Excel file has multiple sheets, each will convert to a page or more in the final PDF, one after the other. Sheet names are preserved as headers on the corresponding pages.

Does the tool support Hebrew?

Yes. Hebrew spreadsheets are preserved with correct right alignment, numbers stay numbers, and dates in Hebrew format (DD/MM/YYYY) are preserved like the original. Built for Hebrew from the ground up.

Which Excel formats are supported?

The tool supports XLSX (modern format from Excel 2007 and up), XLS (older format), and CSV (comma-separated text file). It auto-detects the type and chooses the conversion method.

What happens to the file after conversion?

The file is automatically deleted from servers after you download the final file. We do not view, store, or share content with any third party.

Is there a file size limit?

On free, size is limited to 25MB, and on Pro to 100MB. Most Excel sheets do not exceed 25MB.
