CONTEXT

Why Convert Word to PDF?

PDF is a "freeze" of the document - what you see on screen is what the recipient will see, anywhere and on any device. A resume sent as PDF will not break when opened on an employer's computer - even if they have an old Word version or are missing the font you chose. A PDF contract will not undergo unauthorized changes by the other party. A PDF price quote looks professional, consistent, and organized, without the risk that the client modifies something before showing to someone else.

Many institutions explicitly require PDF. Universities require submission of work as PDF. Courts accept documents only as PDF. Banks and authorities request PDF files for upload to their systems. Digital signing platforms (DocuSign, Comsign, attorney digital signatures) also work only on PDF files. Converting from Word is the first step before formal sending of any document.

Another advantage is file size. PDF files are usually better organized than similar Word files - after conversion the final file is sometimes smaller than the original. This matters when the destination limits file size (government submission systems, bank apps, resume screening systems). If the file is still too large, you can pass the final PDF through the compression tool to reduce it further.

HOW IT WORKS

How Does Word to PDF Conversion Work?

Sending a resume to an employer and worried the formatting will break on their computer? Submitting a paper to university with a PDF requirement? Sending a price quote to a client and want them to see exactly the version you created? Converting Word to PDF ensures the document looks the same on every computer and device - regardless of the recipient's Word version, installed fonts, or operating system. The tool works directly in the browser on computer, phone, and tablet.

The process is simple: upload your Word file (DOCX, DOC, RTF, or ODT), click "Convert to PDF", and within seconds you get a PDF to download. The tool preserves everything in the original document: fonts, colors, tables, images, chapter headings, page numbers, headers and footers, and even a linked table of contents. Links inside the document (internal and external) keep working in the final PDF.

On the Pro plan the tool supports batch conversion. You can upload up to 20 Word files at once, receive them as one ZIP for download, or choose the option to merge them all into one unified PDF. Particularly useful for combining monthly reports, archiving meeting notes into one file, or preparing a full document portfolio for a client or authority. On the free plan you can convert one file per operation.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert a Word document to PDF?

Upload your Word file (DOCX, DOC, RTF, or ODT), click "Convert to PDF" and download the PDF. The tool preserves all formatting, tables, images, and Hebrew text - no installation needed, works directly in the browser.

Does conversion preserve links and table of contents?

Yes. The tool preserves all external and internal links, clickable table of contents, bookmarks, and cross-references. If your Word document has a TOC linked to chapter headings, it will remain clickable in the final PDF.

Why convert Word to PDF instead of sending as Word?

PDF is a format that looks identical on every computer and device - no risk that formatting breaks because the recipient is missing a specific font, or that their device displays the document differently. PDF is also hard to modify, so when sending a contract, resume, or price quote - the other side sees exactly what you created, without changes that could cause misunderstanding.

Does the tool support Hebrew?

Yes. The tool is built for Hebrew from the ground up - Word documents in Hebrew convert to PDF without losing right-to-left direction, without word garbling, and without diacritic issues. Mixed documents (Hebrew and English together) also work correctly, and Hebrew fonts are preserved in the final file.

Which Word formats are supported?

The tool supports all common Word formats: DOCX (modern format from Word 2007 onwards), DOC (older format), RTF (rich text document), and ODT (LibreOffice format). It auto-detects the file type and chooses the appropriate conversion method.

Can I convert multiple files at once?

Batch conversion (multiple files at once) is available on the Pro plan - you can upload up to 20 Word files at once, get them as a ZIP, or merge into one unified PDF. On the free plan you can convert one file per operation.

What happens to my documents after conversion?

Documents are automatically deleted from servers after you download the final file. We do not store, view, or share your document content with any third party. The upload is encrypted throughout the process.

Is there a file size limit?

On the free plan, size is limited to 25MB per file, and on Pro to 100MB. Most Word documents, even those with many images and tables, do not exceed 25MB - so most users do not hit the limit. If your document is particularly large, consider reducing image sizes inside it before conversion.
