Does conversion preserve Excel formulas?
PDF does not store formulas - only their results. Therefore conversion creates an Excel file with the calculated values as regular numbers, not as formulas. If you need formulas, you will need to add them again in Excel after conversion. But the structure and data are ready and organized, which makes adding formulas much easier.
Does the tool handle scanned files?
Yes. If your report is actually an image of paper (scan or photo), the tool runs automatic text recognition that turns the image into real data. Choose the "Scanned" mode when uploading. Quality depends on scan sharpness - clear black/white scans at 300 DPI or higher give the best results. Blurry scans may require minor manual correction.
What happens if the PDF contains free text too?
The tool focuses on converting tables - it identifies and converts only structured tabular areas. Free text, paragraphs, and headers that are not part of a table usually will not be converted or will be converted to a separate sheet. What happens to my file after conversion?
The original file and the final Excel file are automatically deleted from servers after you download them. We do not view, store, or share the content of your files with any third party. The upload is fully encrypted.
Is there a file size limit?
On the free plan, size is limited to 25MB per file, and on Pro to 100MB. "Scanned" mode (automatic text recognition for scanned files) is available only on Pro - on the free plan you can only convert digital PDF created from software.
