Which redaction color should I choose?
The default is black (a black box in place of the text), but you can also choose white (the content is deleted and the area simply remains empty). White suits documents that need scanning or printing where you do not want black boxes to stand out. Black suits visual emphasis - the other side immediately understands something was hidden.
Is the information saved in hidden data in the file?
No. In addition to deleting visual content, the tool also removes hidden information in the file (metadata like author name, version history, or content in hidden layers). Whoever opens the file on a computer will find no trace of what was hidden.
What happens to the file after redaction?
The original file and the redacted file are automatically deleted from servers after you download the final file. We do not view, store, or share content with any third party. The upload is encrypted.
