CONTEXT

Why use a document scanner?

Government forms, insurance receipts, ID copies and contracts - you often need to "attach a document" as a clean PDF, not a crooked photo with a desk background. The scanner turns a quick phone photo into a professional document accepted everywhere.

HOW IT WORKS

How does the document scanner work?

The scanner opens your phone camera right in the browser - no app to install. You photograph the document, edges are detected automatically, the perspective is corrected (even if shot at an angle), and you get a flat, clean page. Add a black-and-white scan filter, scan several pages, and combine everything into one PDF.

All processing - edge detection, straightening and filtering - happens on your device. Only combining the pages into the final PDF runs on the server. Edge detection is not perfect in every lighting condition, so you can always drag the corners to correct them before cropping.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install an app?

No. The scanner works right in your phone browser. On first use you grant camera access - that is all.

Can I scan several pages into one file?

Yes. After each capture you can add another page, and at the end all pages combine into one organized PDF.

What if the camera is unavailable?

You can always pick an existing photo from your device instead - the same edge-detection, straightening and filtering applies.
